Terry Fox Humanitarian Awards are now open to graduating secondary students who are planning to study at a post secondary Canadian institution in September 2020.
Deadline for application is February 1st, 2020.

Attention All Potential Graduates:
Is your overall average 85% and higher?
Are you a Canadian citizen or have permanent residence status?
Are you 16 years of age or older as of September 1st 2020?
Are you planning to attend university as of September 2020?
Are you a natural leader?
If you have answered yes to all of these questions, then the Loran scholarship is for you. Each school is allowed to sponsor 1 student. For all potential graduates who feel that they would be a great candidate for the Loran Scholarship, please complete a 500 word statement explaining why you should be sponsored by Lincoln M. Alexander S.S for this scholarship. Please submit statements to Ms. Daniel in the Guidance Dept by Thursday, October 10th, 2019 by 12pm NOON.
If you are not chosen to be sponsored by Lincoln M. Alexander S.S, you may also apply to the direct pool. Information on how to apply is posted on the Scholarship board outside of the Guidance office.

Who is eligible?
Any student who is in their last year of high school and is applying to a Canadian university or college in Sept. 2020.
Key criteria is an outstanding leader – you must have been extremely active in your community.
How much can you possibly receive?
Each scholarship includes four years of tuition at any approved university or college in Canada
Up to a maximum of $10,000.00 per year
$7,500.00 per year towards living expenses
Offers a summer employment!!

CHANGING TOMORROW AWARD - Gives applicants the opportunity to receive $1,500 to help manage the cost of going to college.
